Located on the beautiful island of Bali, our zoo is home to more than 350 creatures. We'd love for you to come and spend a day with us to experience the beauty of our surroundings, learn about our awesome animals, and hopefully create memories that you will cherish for a long time.
As Bali's only zoo, we like to call ourselves "Nature's Education Centre". Our friendly staff are eager to show you around, talk to you about our animals, what we are doing to make their lives more comfortable, and what YOU can do if you would like to help us out. We have a "hands on" approach to conservation education, and we'd love to share our ideas with you!
Our daily program includes feeding of the lions, crocodiles and tigers, and if it's cute and cuddly that you're after - why not head down to our petting area and snuggle with a baby monkey? All of our inhabitants are fully cared for by our resident veterinarian, and we are also a bird flu free environment.
Once you've spent the day roaming the grounds, make a stop at Starbhoga - our newly renovated restaurant. Here, our staff will wine and dine you until you can be wined and dined no more. We can even organise a driver to round off your day and take you back to your hotel!
Right now, the Bali Zoo is in the early stages of a wonderful project aimed at improving the conditions of all the animal enclosures. With help from our proud sponsor and partner, Peel Zoo, in Western Australia, we are on track to becoming a world class facility where the animals will be lining up at the gates to get IN! LOCATION
Our address is Jl Raya Singapadu, Sukawati, Gianyar. Most taxi drivers and hired drivers should be able to find us with ease. We're not too far from the Bali Bird Park, and also nearby is the village of Singapadu - famous for its silver products, and carving of wood, stone and masks.
Situated in the cultural heart of Bali, the zoo is only a ten minute drive from Ubud. We are only forty five minutes from the tourist areas of Kuta, Tuban, Legian and Seminyak. The sandy white beaches of Sanur are a cruisy twenty minute drive away.
Nearby you can grab a bargain at the Sukawati market, or head into Ubud to visit some exquisite galleries and boutiques. We are lucky enough to be surrounded by some of the most gorgeous scenery you can find on the island. Take a drive and discover hidden temples, lush green rice terraces, and the world famous smiles of the locals.
Tour groups, organised by local travel agents, are easily catered for in our huge carpark that has room for more than 20 buses! If you caught under the spell of this part of the island, and want to extend your stay in the area, we can recommend nearby accommodation to suit all tastes and budgets.

Animals
We have more than 350 creatures at our zoo! Sumatran tigers, white tiger, African Lion, orangutan, leopards and a komodo dragaon - just to name a few! We offer the opportunity to get up close to some of the animals; our baby monkeys love to be cuddled, and our slithering snake would love to wrap himself around you for a photo.

Dining facilities
Try our first class restaurant, Starbhoga, for a mouth-watering meal. We have recently revamped the kitchen, as well as the menu, so all tastes are catered for. For snacks and cold drinks, we have small stalls located throughout the zoo grounds.
If you would prefer to bring your own food, we also have a new BBQ and picnic area available for your use.

Functions
Bali Zoo's grounds and five star restaurant are available to hire for your next function. Weddings, birthdays, corporate events - send us an email and we'll work with you to create an event to remember!

Guided tours
For groups of ten or more, pre-book via email, and we will have one of English speaking guides show you around for no more than the cost of your admission.
The zoo is a wonderful resource for school excursions. Contact us and we will work with you to provide a day-long program to suit the needs of your students.
